Strongarm Sport, founded in 2014 and operated by Mike Armstrong in Calgary, Alberta, is a leading name in the Canadian powerlifting community. Mike boasts a rich history in powerlifting, beginning his journey in 1985 and accumulating multiple national and world championships, as well as serving in prominent roles within the Alberta and Canadian Powerlifting Unions.
With considerable experience, Mike has trained and coached numerous lifters, including a team for the visually impaired. As an IPF Category 1 referee since 1999, he has officiated at prestigious events worldwide. Strongarm Sport originated when Mike sought to provide quality training equipment that wasn’t available in Canada, establishing a reliable source for powerlifting gear and accessories that serve athletes from British Columbia to Newfoundland.
